Desirae Reed is a local watercolor artist and is the art teacher at Jenifer Middle School. Inspired by the creativity and curiosity of her middle school art students, Desirae’s art is filled with whimsy and color. Nature and a love for animals are also infused in the compositions.
Seeing colors flow and fuse on a piece in a fantastic way is something I love about art. Presenting ordinary occurrences in a silly way or showcasing animals in a clever, colorful way makes what I do so fun. I am reminded daily by my students the joy in exploration and seeing the world with fresh eyes.
